How I use your information

Last updated 25 October 2026.

Who I am

Goldsmith Works Ltd (company number 17540720, registered office 132 Henleaze Road, Bristol BS9 4LB) is responsible for the personal information described here. For any question about it, email ben@goldsmithworks.co.uk.

What I collect

  • When you book a call: your name, email address, phone number, business name, what kind of business it is, and anything you tell me about it in the booking form.
  • When you email or ring: your contact details and what you tell me.
  • If you become a client: the details needed to provide and invoice the service.

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and does not track you.

Why I use it

  • To arrange and hold the call you asked for, and to follow up on it.
  • To reply to your messages.
  • To prepare a proposal or provide a service you've asked for.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in replying to enquiries about my business, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. I won't add you to a mailing list or sell your information.

Who else handles it

Calls are booked through Agent Online, a customer management system that Goldsmith Works shares with Goldsmith Property, my letting agency, and your booking details are held there. Email is handled by Microsoft 365. These providers process the information on my behalf. The site itself is hosted by a web hosting provider, which may keep standard server logs. Nobody else receives your information unless the law requires it.

How long I keep it

If you don't become a client, I delete your details within two years of our last contact. If you do, I keep records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, normally six years after the work ends.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how I use it. Email ben@goldsmithworks.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
